This week, Special Counsel John Durham released a 318-page report that details the origins and scope of Operation Crossfire Hurricane – the FBI’s investigation on the supposed links between the Trump campaign & the Russian government.
The report exposes corruption and collusion not between the former President Donald Trump and Russia but between Hillary Clinton’s campaign, friends at the FBI and top officials in the Obama administration.
Crossfire Hurricane, it turns out was a purely conjectural idea. Clinton’s 2016 campaign marketed this conjecture. This conjecture was the foundation for a four-year witch hunt that led to a slew of false allegations.
Durham reports that the story began in late July 2016 when Australia gave information to the U.S. embassy in London about conversations between Australian diplomats, and a low-level Trump adviser, George Papadopoulos. In these conversations, Papadopoulos allegedly said that “the Trump team had received some sort of suggestion from Russia” that it could help in the release of information regarding Clinton.
The flimsy evidence was used as the basis for the launch of the full-blown Trump Russia investigation three days after it was received.
Peter Strzok – a Trump-hater and deputy assistant director for counterintelligence at the FBI – was one of those who approved the investigation. Durham points out that the investigation was launched before any discussion with Australia or Intelligence Community and without any critical evaluation of the data itself.
What might have caused this eagerness to learn? Durham admits that the FBI already had the Steele Dossier – a compilation of lies and innuendo compiled by Fusion GPS for the Clinton campaign. In July 2016, a second Fusion GPS source had also approached the FBI.
The Clinton campaign, and their perceived need to stop Trump, may have pushed for an investigation. The FBI’s assistant legal attache in London was aware that the Papadopoulos evidence was thin, but informed the Office of the Inspector General of FBI management’s “push” to investigate the matter.
In July 2016, U.S. Intelligence agencies learned that Russian intelligence suggested that Clinton had approved an alleged Trump-Russia collusion campaign plan.
The CIA Director John Brennan briefed the FBI Director and Attorney General remotely on Aug. 3.
No one decided to halt the Trump-Russia probe, despite knowing that the Clinton campaign had allegedly manipulated the situation.
The FBI was aware that its intelligence supporting such allegations was at best flimsy, but they went ahead with the plan. Throughout the remainder of the 2016 election and Trump’s first year in office, Democrats, the media and the intelligence community repeated the Trump-Russia conspiracy lie.
This collusion was much worse than Watergate. This collusion involves the former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate laundering false intelligence to the FBI. The FBI, under the supervision of the Obama administration’s political ally, then uses that information as a pretext to launch a full-scale inquiry , knowing that the Clinton campaign may have been behind the initial allegations.
This is a clear case of insanity. This destroys the FBI’s credibility. It accuses former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden as well as James Clapper, Brennan and many other high-ranking officials of weaponizing the government in order to stop Trump.
It turns out that the Russia hoax is much more than just a hoax. It turned out to be a sinister plan, implemented at the highest level of government, in order to corrupt an electoral process and undermine a president.
