American Express is enhancing its airport lounges in San Francisco and New York City by adding premium dining experiences. The Centurion Lounge at San Francisco Airport (SFO) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) will feature new menus created by acclaimed chefs Christopher Kostow and Cedric Vongerichten, respectively. Both lounges are set to open later this year.
Chef Kostow, known for his work at The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley, will bring his expertise to the SFO lounge, focusing on seasonal menus inspired by local producers. Chef Vongerichten, who leads Perry St in New York City and has been recognized as one of the top young chefs by Zagat, will offer his culinary style at the LGA lounge.
The Centurion Lounge offers a relaxing space for American Express Card Members to unwind and recharge. Currently, lounges are open at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. A new lounge is also planned for Miami International Airport.
Platinum Card and Centurion Card Members have complimentary access to The Centurion Lounge. Other American Express cardholders can purchase a One-Day Pass for $50.
The lounges in Las Vegas and Dallas currently feature culinary contributions from Scott Conant, Dean Fearing, Jim Meehan, and Anthony Giglio. For Platinum Card Members, access to The Centurion Lounge is one of many benefits aimed at enhancing their travel experience.
